2011 Power Tour

Just announced Power Tour is coming to my home city on 6-9-11. We are excited and planning is in high gear. I've read comments by many who have done past power tours and want to have you guys give us some ideas as to what we can do to make the stop in Muskegon Michigan one that everyone will remember and enjoy. If you were touring what would you want to do? What needs to be available or provided to make the stay fun? Concert? Outdoor car movie? Bikini car wash? Beer tent and music? Help us out.

OK, the bikini car wash is a must. Muskegon is on the shores of Lake Michigan which looks for all the world like an ocean but is unsalted with miles of white sugar sand beaches. Most of the acitvities here in the summer revolve around the beach, lakes and rivers. There are numerous sport fishing charters available (10 to 25 lb+ salmon, whitefish etc) Charters are of course for a fee and should be booked well in advance. The downtown is in rehab but the new stuff there is nice; lots of watering holes and eaterys. For the navy veterans there is a restored WWII submarine and museum (USS Silversides) and a restored WWII LST. Both are available for tours. They run outdoor movies in the summer on the deck of the LST. Maybe a special screening of Bullitt for the Mustang-Mopar crowd. We are somewhat known as the beer tent capital of Michigan (dont know yet about free beer). An organized cruise to the beach and a beach side watering hole could be done if interest is there after a day of being on the road. As kids the beach was and is the natural criuse destination for all hot rodders. Tons of golf courses. Check out the website at visitmuskegon.org(sorry cant do a link). Bikini car wash - Hell Yes

Not sure the guys should wear bikinis but some good bods in shorts would be good ;D
