    Transmission - '87 Jeep Cherokee 4x4

Does anyone know what inputs does the transmission use from the ECM? TPS? Coolant? Am I overthinking this?

I'm thinking about converting the Jeep to a MegaSquirt, especially since there is no check engine light to tell if something is off, and I'd like to supercharge it some day. But I need to know what the ECM tells the transmission so I know what to leave hooked up.

And I guess while I'm on the subject, any internal upgrades for this transmission if it were to go out on me?

Interesting. Thanks. Looks like there is a bigger output shaft available too. If it's an independant module, I just need to find it and make sure it's still hooked up.

Does anyone make a new "performance" module for that?

Our '92 (I think it's a '92) with Aisan auto trans wasn't shifting when we got it except at wot and highest speed and it turned out to be the throttle-position sensor, so that might be something to keep.
