    "Rapid" Ronnie Lyles! How cool!

The first thing I think when I hear that name is Hemi Colt. Man those cars were insane, and Lyles was real good at wheeling his down the strip.

Great story, great history, by all accounts a very good guy and racer.

    Cool.

Re: Urban Legend or Not ?

I have read about the Dart before in a very old issue of Super Street cars. I actually have a friend that owns a Vette that supposdly was once owned by Brooklyn Heavy . It looks like a Baldwin Motion car but is undocumented. Seymor Balz is acually the alias of the guy that owned Super Street cars magazine. His real name was Engledrum. Thats a great read. I wish someone would write a book with pictures from those days here in NY I hear similar stories from the guys around here all the time though not as great as that.

that mentality lingered into the 80s local.

pos life, and there is the freakin super car outside the leaning mobile home..

in fact one was quite blatantly known...
I saw what must have been his car, beaten to crap, even 14 years later. I had learned some of what it took to keep this particular chassis going...as funds to go extreme existed.

as bad as the rush gets for the junkies.. sometimes factual things linger.
