    Pinks All Out Sonoma (Infineon)

Any NorCal BS'ers planning to attend? Since the budget didn't allow for Drag Week this year its off to PINKS, Brian (Goat Racer) Rock and I are going along with a few buddies. Brian was selcted to the 32 last year at Bakersfield but was a 10.40 car 'challenging. a 10.15 car. I have yet to make the cut but we are giving it a couple more tries this year as we are also going to Firebird in Phoenix in November.

We'll be pitted in the garages, stop by, wear your BS shirt.

I haven't raced at Sonoma in 20 years. One of my first races on a track. I entered the brackets and got my ass handed to me by an old geezer and his 63 Nova wagon with the original sixer and three speed. He was the eventual winner clicking off 21.50's all day. Most the fast cars broke out flying by him at the end.

We had a great time, perfect weather. Out of our group of five guys, Brain Rock (Goat Racer), 65 GTO and Mike Orban who brought his just completed, gorgeous, copper metalic 55 Chevy two door twin turbo BBC got picked for the 64 car show, They each went one round, both spun too much on the second pass which is the issue with small tire street cars. They had both run right at 10.30.

I made a personal best running a 10.08 with a 1.453 60 ft. and the front wheels a few inches off the ground in the silver barge so it was a success for me regardless, It ran 10.12/1.47 in the arm qualifier. Thanks Bad440 for the compliment, its nice to have the car finally have a decent launch and thanks to all the guys here who gave me great advice. Video coming soon to the tech thread.
