    The new daily driver

    My new wheels:

2008 Ford Focus, with a 2.0 duratec and a five speed. It's amazing how nice a car with all new parts is. It's pretty much immaculate, and they delivered it right after a being detailed and washed. I just can't get wrapped around the idea that it is mine. (well, half mine anyway. Mom and dad covered a lot of it) It is a base model, but it has a whole list of things that I have never had before. The sound system is nice and clear, and can go a lot louder than I will ever want. It has an audio in jack so I can use my laptop instead of having to switch radio stations every 60 miles. The thing that gets me the most is not the sound system, air conditioning, or the way it rides and handles. It's the dashboard clock that gets me. Since the Escort never had a radio, it never had a clock. Being able to just glance at the time on the dash is such a nice thing, even though it seems so minor.

I know it's just an econobox. But hey, I bs'd it!

    Budget turbo ASAP ....

Nice car brother. Four cylinders and five speeds are some of the funnest cars to drive IMO. Have fun with it.
My way of joking is to tell the truth. It's the funniest joke in the world.

The sticker would have gone on the Escort, but when I hacksawed off the side view mirror, I needed all the window space to drive safely. And, Mom and Dad have declared that I am not allowed to modify this car. Even the BS sticker took approval.

    Glad they approved!

My focus experience was a 2003 SVT model that I had for a year. Your car is probably better in all respects but I really liked mine (until a 3/4-ton Van squashed it).

You officially have a race car and a street car now. You're practically a professional.
