Where was it located?

Looks like a compressor pigtail.

looks like it goes somewhere on the drivers side of the engine.

i was able to get it started, but need to lash the valves.

Filled the cooling system, set the rockers, thing sat there and purred like a kitten..........I was so proud! then I see all this " smoke " comming out the tail pipe. Looks like like I need to go into the steam cleaning biz .

If you replaced the intake gaskets because of a coolant leak,
you may have a bunch of coolant in the exhaust.


Or, it has a bad head gasket.

I really liked the first idea. I replaced the heads, headgaskets,and intake gaskets. My guess is one of the heads is bad. I really don't care to fool with it anymore. If I do I'll just replace themotor. My just sell it as is. Who knows ?!

I've found em for as cheap as $350 with
pretty low miles.

Looking right now like I'll buy half of the youngest daughter's next vehicle and then pay her the diff. in cash at a latter date. I'll probably shove it one the back burnner for now and work on putting a few other fires out. Like getting rid of my collection of 78-80 Chevy 4x4 truck halves and parts, and fixing the wifes 95 grand cherokee. So this thread is probably dead.
