IF the Power Tour starts in NOLA (New Orleans, LA) next year, I will inform everyone of what hotels to stay in, what places to stay away from, etc. I don't care much for this pre-booking of hotels on hunches, so until it is official, only then will I give my suggestions on exact hotels, restaurants, etc.

Now that is a suprise, you don't seem to want to pre-book hotels even after cities, venues and routes have been anounced :

By whom and where is it documented ?

If it does start in NOLA, it would be at the Fair Grounds, or the Super Dome. Be prepared for the heaviest traffic and hottest weather you have ever dealt with. Its severely humid here at that time of year and the NOLA streets aren't designed for heavy vehicle traffic and can barely handle the pedestrian traffic during events like Mardi Gras.

Parking in NOLA is "safe" if you park in one of the secure paid parking lots or garages. Not that people haven't been mugged or vehicles broken into in those areas, it is actually very rare as the police keep the Vieux Carre (French Quarter) area very secure for tourists. Its only when you venture out of these ares do you need to be very careful.

Keep in mind that Blake is 6'8" tall 260 lbs and if he lived in coal country they'd be calling him Big John so places that are safe to him might not feel the same to those of us of lesser stature. :-[ :'( :-*

I feel safer in New Orleans than I felt in Memphis or on Beale Street.

Keep in mind NO ONE will be staying over night in New Orleans unless you can swing $350 a night hotel. And ALL upscale hotels have very secure parking garages. Believe me, tourists stay safe if they stay in tourist areas.

The hotel that some of the freaks stayed in when they came to our after tour bash last year would be a great location though I think that area will be heading away from where the next destination would be.

Once a full route is announced, then I can better direct people of where to stay and what to do.

I have a hunch that just North of Blake/Ray's, that cluster of hotels at the I-10 and I-55 intersection might be a good place......time will tell! ;D

I will say one thing, if we go through Illinois again im not running next year. Will make my own tour and head west for a change

IF it starts around the Gulf Coast (Mobile to NOLA) and ends in Detroit you are going to be hard pressed to get too far west given their typical mileage per day.

Yeah, i just dont want to run through illinois any more 3 years is enough for anyone lol. Once the route is out my crew will look and see whats going on, we have about 10 cars now so if we dont like the route we will plan our own and skip a year. It was discussed this year about a Hardcore Pontiac's Hardcore Roller tour so who knows
