I'm with Jim on this one. Works great for me w/o threadlocker. I was always worried that the threadlocker would lock the heli-coil and the new bolt into a big wad when you tried to remove the bolt down the line, but maybe it doesn't really do that. Like I said, I never tried it.

It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Nice job well done, I hope the other threaded hole does´nt go bad on you.
I would have done both, just in case.

Kind of on a related note, if you ever have a bolt that breaks off and it's not seized in, often times I'll use a reverse rotation drill and bit to drill the bolt. Then if your lucky, the broken bolt will start turning counter clockwise and you can spin it on out, saving your threads.

Back in my working days, I had a set of LH drills in my Gov toolbox for this purpose. One day I came across one of our guys CRANKING on the drill press and unable to make a hole in a plate. You guessed it - he "borrowed" a bit from my box. I taught him how to make out a Purchase Order that day - one for a new LH drill bit for my box, one for a set of RH bits for his.
