The last time my wife skiid - she blew out her knee and ended up with a new ACL.... nothing compared to what you're going through.
Listen to the doc - be diligent about the rehab.
What things can you do sitting down? Perhaps put some time into the store's website? Maybe get a jump on some computer work / spread sheets / taxes / etc for the store? Any person book keeping need to be done? Any online training you're interested in?
Good talking to you this morning Tim, sit back, read your magazines and drink your coffee and keep that leg raised. You can vent here anytime, many of us have been in a similiar boat and also needed support. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Well Tim from one Pontiac 455 guy to another, as well as one cripple to a fellow new cripple, if you have some time off and can get UP here for a vacation, the shop is open to you. If I were closer I would come and lend a hand down there, but I have a very hard time getting away from here. Besides you could probably use some off time, right? You can hang out, and BS while we get the LeMans in shape.
I hope you heal better than I did, I am not envious of where you broke it and what its going to be like. Hang in there and do your best to stay positive. Look on the bright side, you can get a placard for the car that lets you park up front! Its not a setback, its a respite from the rat race.
Thanks man, I was planning on doing cab corners and some other rust issues on my Z71, but it looks like that money will be going towards what insurance won't cover. It may just have to rust into midwestern oblivian. Wish I could get up there to see your Poncho collection, I loves me some Indians.

Yea Doug, that was great, it is always nice to accually talk to people on this site. Hope to meet you some day.
Man, that is rough. Things do have a way of working themselves out. Best advise, and many have already said it, is to do what the docs say, don't try to fix stuff yourself, and stick with the rehab. Of course with the hip situation you already know all of this stuff. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I've done the tib-fib thing, just the other end. It seemed like an eternity, but I got back pretty damn close to 100%.
Hang in there, and keep the grey matter exercised while you heal.
