My ears are my own, and there is nothing more pleasing to my ear than the sound of a V8 at wot.

I agree with ya on that point......kinda loses the "wow" factor and a bit of it's exotic pedigree without the original engine.

But on the other hand........3.0 liters, 200HP versus an LS3 with who knows how much HP? Sure twin snailshells on the stocker would've been cool, but $400 apiece for distributor caps? Good grief!!!!

MAJOR violaton for using a slushbox in a Ferrari, though..........like putting wide whites on a new ZR-1.

That sounds like your sound source right there. Would be interesting to see the mounts they used to dampen the vibration from the flat crank.

LS with a big cam sounds kinda exotic to me . With some header tuning and the right muffs it will sound great. But will agree with Smoke, automatic it going to be un-forgiveable . I would venture to guess though they are wanting to go with paddle shift which seems to be the rage with the euro-exotic crowd these days.

Well they did offer a 4T65E-HD with paddles in the Comp G but it sounds like they aren't using anything factory on the controls so it will be down to what trans controller they use if that will work. I wonder why they don't use 4T80E out of a Caddy since it's a bit stronger though not as well aftermarket supported.

I wonder if you could somehow find some space for 180 degree headers in there, that would create a more exotic sound.

junior johnson always ran 180 degree headers in #11
always sounded more like a 6

an x pipe makes my vette sound like a strong vette instead of a farm truck.... I don't have enough cam to make the duals sound good. my buddies 500 HP ls6 is dual into a single 3.5" and it sounds downright wicked.
