Don't you DARE think of doing away with that 292. If you wanted to go fast, would you start with a C60 truck? I'm thinking a couple or three one barrels, headers, maybe finned aluminum side covers, good to go. Besides, ever hear of Leo Santucci? Try telling him six-in-a-row is not the way to go.
When doing that floor, make sure you keep the removable trans tunnel. That is, if you ever intend on removing the trans.Comment

Think of the plus side of keeping the six, its only one head to heave over the radiator, minus gunk it might weigh the same as the V8 head.Comment

Just finished rebuilding said single head. :D
Valves lapped, new valve seals installed, springs and retainers locked and loaded.
