Hi everyone! I'm a newbe from Southern Illinois, Waterloo to be exact. That's about 25 miles south of St. Louis, MO.
My 15 yr old daughter and I will be doing our first Power Tour this year. We are in for the Long Haul. My daughter is a veteran of several NSRA and Goodguys shows, so she will enjoy the trip. As a 15 yr old in Illinois she has a "learners permit". She is required to drive 40 hr with an adult signing off for all hours before she gets her licence. She will have most of the time in before we leave, but you may want to distance yourselves from our truck. She will be at the wheel! I don't think I will have to worry about entertaining her on the trip. I am thinking about entering the truck in her name since she wants to drive. I called and asked about that possibility and was told as long as she has a permit to drive they didn't think it would be a problem as long as I was willing to sign off with parental permission. Any thoughts on this
We will both be racing pinewood cars at the stops for evening entertainment.
Our ride will be a 1962 Chevy PU. If you hear the truck sounds like the motor is about to come apart or you see a black haze don't be concerned. It has a diesel under the hood. The truck is satin black with "Salt Flat Racing" logos and yellow trim.
We are looing forward to seeing you on the tour. :D
