Last chance to tell me I am stupid

I am taking the wagon to the paint shop next Saturday (3/1).

I went by and talked to them again today to be sure that they were going to be ready for it. I talked to them back in November and they told me to come back after the first of the year. I went back and talked to them in mid January and they told me to bring it in the first of March. I also asked them (AGAIN) if they were sure that they could complete it by May 1st. Naturally they said yes - no problem. I know that there is a good chance that it won't be done. I haven't had very many good experiences with custom shops but the body really only needs a little bit of tuning up before it is ready to be painted. The body will be straight enough to paint Gloss Black (or any other color).

So now for your chance to tell me I am stupid.

I am going back with suede (Hot Rod Black or equivalent).

Thumbs up for the suede, just do it with a paint thats meant to take the elements especially UV. That wagon is just perfect in the flat black. Its mean looking, if you paint it something glossy it'll start to look like powerpark vs powerbrake.

Custom Wagon IMO I would not change the hauler's appearance - protect it, yes but not change it.

While I did not meet up with you last year on the PT, I did introduce myself to your sled in Cleveland (in a platonic way).

The car just looks so badass, not unlike the Two Lane Black Top 55 Chevy.

I hope that it gets done in time. I took mu Chevelle to get it painted in March last year. It was going to be done, no problem. Well, one thing led to another and this problem and then that problem came up. I got it back around the end of September.

I was dissapointed that I could not drive my car on the tour last year, but I am very happy that he took the time to do the job right.

Wait , I think you need this TRIP in the "Wagon", though I do like your daugthers PU.

It looks Great now, we know its straight and you drive so darn fast who cares.

You have stopped at the body shop enough and it seems like your on "they're Schedule".

I do think if it is a Good Shop, 8 weeks is enough time to do the job.

whats wrongw/ the paint on it now? did you do some body work or change something?
OR did the paint peel from driving so fast? i couldn't keep up w/ you in wisc. last year.
