I come up with 104, if I count the blown-up 428 in my Mustang.  One of those isn't really a cylinder anymore, due to the gaping holes.  I'm going to call it 96 then.

Besides my Dart, Charger, Mustang, Barracuda and dragster (all 8's), I have an '02 F250 (8 ), Escort (4), another 428, a 390, a 318, a 340, a 413, a 440, a riding mower, a push mower, a weed whacker, and a snow blower.

That is true. One large paperweight for a shiny new hemi. I'm sensing that the Mach 1 lust has set in rather strongly there David. I can't blame you, but if I sell it off before I get it running, I'm gonna have to buy a guy dinner at Hooters. I'd never hear the end of it.

I did start working on it's seat yesterday so if I bring it out there I won't be totally gay riding it.

v8 ~ 26 x 8 = 208
v/I6 ~ 2 x 6 = 12
I5 ~ 2 x 5 = 10
I4 ~ 3 x 4 = 12
F2 ~ 1 x 2 = 2
F1 ~ 2 x 1 = 2

Thats 246 which is about what I can come up with off the top of my head.

I'd have to do a site survey....ok, not too accurate because it's at night, and I don't remember where I put that box with about a dozen old rc engines, but I get right around 290.

Hey, I can cover a Hooters bill, plus bring some guys to help defend you. Besides "trading" it off is a little different. Or I'm not picky...get it running first, then I'll trade you!

2 fourwheelers = 14 slugs
11 twowheelers = 22slugs
Total = 36 cylinders in 13 vehicles
Plus a half dozen misc vtwin and briggs motors and 2 in the vtwin compressor and (last but not least) 1 in Deb's pushmower!

So here's the deal on the Honda 550 / 4 ... If we stick it in the Van... you could drive to the airport at your convenence. pull it out of the back... ride it home, I could then drive the van to where ever our new shop is... and nobody has to be put out much... Keep in mind I could send a parts list for the CB 450 and we could do that one too...

I'm figuring a late night trip... which is one of the best times to actually ride a bike in LA...

Great topic. I used to do similar ones on other forums I visit.
My last count of engine-blocks netted me exactly 80 cylinders and a total of 4286 cubic inch.
If I also count my daily heap there's 4 more cylinders, about 97 (?) ci?

But if we really counting just 'cylinders', I could also add my V2 piston air-compressor, and 3 more Chrysler V2-Airco-pumps...
I won't start on brake-cylinders ok? ;D

1 V6
2 lawn mowers
1 whipper snipper (weed whacker)
and an air compressor if it counts..

18 cylinders is all.

It would be 26 cylinders if I still had my Revell Visible V8!


I coupled the crank to a drill and spun it to about 5 grand. Damn thing hung together until I loosened off the main caps. I shouldn't have used Mobil 1 on it. :P
