yikes - that's what I DON'T want to see - an A1000 blowing the end off of that thing and hosing down the hot headers with fuel. Youch. Good catch!

I've never used the socketless for pressurized lines. Gives me the willies.I'm still learningComment

Haha it didn't blow the end off. It was just weeping fuel while the pump was on. I cut the blue part back and revealed the hole inside that I must have made when I put the hose end on. The Aeromotive hose is fairly tough to get on the fittings, so I must have man-handled it a bit too much. lol
My fuel system is set up with an Aeromotive return reg set at about 15 psi, then a Quick Fuel dead head reg T's off of it to the carb at 6 psi. The A1000 isn't working very hard and is just circulating fuel around. I used these lines on the Ranger with 60+ psi with no problems at all.
Just something to keep in mind when using the socketless hose.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

Took the boys for a ride around the neighborhood. They loved it. I ran it out of gas 3 blocks from my house... luckily it was downhill all the way home!

Haha and to cap it off, we drove by a one of Jake's friend's house (him and his dad are big Camaro/GM guys) and did a GI-FRIGGIN'-NORMOUS line lock 3 gear burnout with a reeeeeeaaaly long set of blackmarks. 3 gear burnouts, btw, are not too hard to do in this car. lol In fact, I think I could just leave it in 3rd and do it.
Oh yeah, this sucker is looooooow and drags the headers pulling into the driveway. Hopefully my new wheels and tires will get the nose up a bit!Last edited by BBR; May 27, 2011, 06:42 PM.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.
