It is interesting how each state has different "occasional" use plates.
In WI we have a few, but what I have is called a collector plate, no yearly renewal fee and the only limitations are that it can't be used from Dec to March (or something like that), and needs to be a minimum of 20 years old.

Thanks for reminding me about those. I should switch to those when my plates are due for renewal this summer.

No real update, but I did start it today.... Yowza.

One neighbor came out to see what all the commotion was, as the car still does not have mufflers..... he was cool about it though. haha

I did adjust the passenger side door bar so it opens and closes better.

I still need to:

Fix headliner
Build exhaust
Figure out why the factory tach does not work

Just bumping this thread for an update, maybe even motivation.
On the factory tachometer fail, I was just thinking you might have scared the crap out of it on the last start up. :o ;)

Haha, yeah I think maybe the tach and fuel gauge have done the homicide/suicide thing. lol

Still working on our house remodel, but trying to find time here and there to work a little on the car. I need to get on the ball because Amarillo Dragway opens this weekend!

I thought I would bust your chops a little... I figured you were busy with the house and life. Your thread is full of a lot of things win, that has been useful for me.

The way I look at it, if you guys keep building 'em, by the time I get to a point of actually doing something, it all should be pretty straight forward. :D

wait one cotton pickin minute!!! you said that you were buying this house because it was better then your old house.... then why, in all that's ford, would you need to improve on it?!!!

at least you won't have to powertow it because of the tach.... maybe you might because of the fuel gauge ;D

The only thing that requires more time than a hobby car is a house.

Scratch that.......a wife trumps a house in the time department, although the two are usually indistinguishable.......

loooool This house *is* better than the last one, bigger, taller, bigger lot, better location. It has been meticulously maintained, but has not been updated since the late 70's/early 80's. Paint/flooring/etc is all we are really doing. Finished putting on kitchen cabinet doors last night. There are 30 of them in there and I still have another 25 to re-install in the dining room and the bar area once the painter finishes them. All new appliances in the kitchen. Fridge, dishwasher, double oven are all in, microwave will be going in this weekend and the cook top will go in after the new counter tops are installed. The kitchen is by far the most time intensive part of this project and it is almost done. The rest should go fairly fast, aside from one little dormer window-to-closet conversion in the master bedroom. Our bedroom has 3 dormer windows and we are going to convert one of them to a closet since they are essentially wasted space.

***Mustang project tie-in***
I have to make a steel mount for the microwave and that will require me digging my welder out of storage, so I will grab my chop saw and all my exhaust parts and maybe sneak some exhaust pipes under the Mustang soon.

Kitchens are huge projects - we finished ours a couple years ago - I'll never do granite counters myself again. We saved a ton doing it all ourselves (myself) but it sure took a lot of time - especially since I had to make the crown molding over the top of the cabinets from scratch so it would fit and look right - thank God for friends with routers and lotsa bits!

Good luck on the house - hopefully you'll be able to do some remodeling in the garage as well! ;D

If its not too much to ask, could you take plenty of pictures when you mount that. I am going to be mounting something to pull a small trailer for power tour.
If you don't have time that's OK too. I guess. 8)
