I'd say Roadracing in the 60's. ;)
Just think beating the hell out of NEW Cobras, Cheetahs, Scarabs, early Can AM cars... along with the birth of the TransAM cars.
That era was setting new ground with each year, inventing new things as they went.
Think of the difference between the caveman engineering of the '50's and significantly modernized 70's technology.
It seems to me the 60's was where many of the 'modern' technology was born. Must have been an exciting time.
In the motorcycle Roadracing world the 80's were incredible, in the early 80's the best sport bike you could buy would have been a KZ1000 with skinny tires and bendy frame. By the end of that decade you could go out and get a fully developed road race tool like a Honda RC30, Ducati 851, etc.Comment
