Does anyone have an old laptop that still works well enough for internet access? I'm thinking it would be cool if Kim (Queen of the Gate) could drop into a local coffee shop and get the latest Maxton news. They are not on line and I don't think it's in the budget for them so I'm wondering if there's some way to make this happen. If the laptop can use Wi-Fi I'm sure there's some place in Parkersburg that has Internet in the air. Just a thought. Those of us who know Kim and Bill know they're a couple of the Good Ones.

    Dan
Dan I will put that high on my priority list I should be able to make it happen in the next month or so.

I am going to ask my friends and clients. Some body has to have something. My old one is free but it has a bad sector on the hard drive. Odds are whatever we get will need a new battery so maybe a group donation but I am getting ahead of my self. Man I can bench race the hell out of a project. :D

      Steve
Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

I'm pretty sure it would be the April meet, because that is also the Hot Rod Magazine
        Top Speed Challenge.

David Frieburger covered the event last year for the mag and we had a record breaking 26 BangShifter's attending as well.

We'll be there in April and calling dibs on pre-staging. Can't beat having your own bathroom. Reni wants to be Parking Bitch. ;D

Re: MAXTON - 2010 Event Schedule

Actually it would be very helpful if Reni is willing to ride herd on the parkers. The April meet often has WAY more spectators and many are likely to be first-timers and they wander around aimlessly in their cars. Someone who can tell 'em where to go and how to get there would help. We usually ask Kim and Steve to send them over to the grass but few listen - and they don't have time to tell the visitors what's going on.

No problemo Dan! She enjoys doing it. You should have seen the look on Freiburgers face when she told him he couldn't park where he was! ;D

Bob, Dan and Dave are working on a schedule for the volunteers that has us moving around and doing different tasks. Worked out pretty well last month, as I was finally able to see vehicles at the big end :o :o :o. Jeebus :P.

Bob - did June Cleaver EVER get that Beaver shaved? It seems to be pretty patient, from my experience w/beavers.
