Cool, why be just a spectator, when you can volunteer ?
It's a much better way to be involved and meet the drivers, talk to the crews and check out the cars and bikes up close.

I simply can't make the July and August dates but I'll be there for the rest.

Walt - I will NOT let you slide thru my clutches! We'll find a spot for you (Dave M and I have to work on this schedule thing).

Randal - you know we'd LOVE to have you - and Chad, too (I guess we can't get you without him, huh?). But seriously - that will be a blast! However, Chad can only come if he brings The Fair Daphne. Be forewarned - there are those who will try to convince you to sample "Southern Hospitality" from a Mason jar. The good news - it will power your car if you're willing to run fuel classes.

Maxton is ALWAYS a big BS party. Always has been - even before Bang Shift! But seriously - BS is always well represented and makes up a good part of the volunteer crew. This is a GOOD thing!

Does anyone have an old laptop that still works well enough for internet access? I'm thinking it would be cool if Kim (Queen of the Gate) could drop into a local coffee shop and get the latest Maxton news. They are not on line and I don't think it's in the budget for them so I'm wondering if there's some way to make this happen. If the laptop can use Wi-Fi I'm sure there's some place in Parkersburg that has Internet in the air. Just a thought. Those of us who know Kim and Bill know they're a couple of the Good Ones.

Chad and I talked a bit about going to Maxton in the Spring (though he didn't say exactly which meet...), but the April one falls on the second of my six days off, so I wouldn't even have to take vacation for it

Dan I will put that high on my priority list I should be able to make it happen in the next month or so.

I would not recommend sharing any thing with the fire ants except maybe some of that shine. ;D
