Just finished up doing a resto on a '55 Chevy radio.

Took the best of two radios to put one together.
Removed all black push buttons and put the best ones back on.
Buffed out chrome face plate......looks mint.

Will be sent out to have modern internals...AM/FM and MP3.
Sending it a buddy of mine who's been wanting one.

    Donor radio

    Finished product

Why bother with the mods? just add a small amp somewhere and plug it into a phone or ipod....then leave the original non working radio in the dash as art

I'm not that tech savy to do.......I think.

I had this done to the radio in my '55.
Looks stock but has AM/FM and I can plug in my MP3.........I do have a small amp running
        my rear speakers.

About the same size as the M/T's.........25" tall with 5 1/2" tread.
I like these in that the tread is more squared up.

The look is fantastic - I have to ask about the function - do those little tires howl for mercy when you're cornering, I would think they'd want to push / roll on a freeway off ramp or similar.
There's always something new to learn.

Yeah.......probably won't be doing any drifting soon

I imagine one would get some severe tire roll over if you made a hard right (left) turn.
Unless it's a real sharp corner........no real problems.

We used to roll around on 4 tires that size all the time. We've gotten spoiled by improved tire technology. I'll wager it'll be fine as long as you remember what you're driving - I think it would be hard to forget!

I remember scoring a set of used Michelins years ago. Thought I had a slot car!
