The 'Velle sat underneath Douglas Fir trees for an easy 15 years, plus was abused like a red-headed stepchild.

Been a while since I had looked at the Mag/Mir concept...only difference I see so far (besides the beauty factor, lol) is that the concept still uses the roof trim bars. I'm going for the bigger quarter-window look in the back. I am insanely jealous after looking in that interior, however...clock, clean plastics, great-looking trim...

I'd go dual mini-sun roofs up front, and a big single in the back.
Just to keep it unique of course. And period correct.
Kidding, just kidding! Doesn't look as bad in pictures as it could or should be..... our Landeau topped Malibu had me worried, but wasn't awful once the vinyl was gone. Can't wait to see how this comes out.
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.
targa would be pretty cool - however, you'd have the same problem you have now - no donor roof. When you cut the targa out, you need a larger piece to fill/cover the hole. I did it to a customer's 40 ford coupe many moons ago.....
t-top, you need a donor car top with approximately the same radius side-to-side.... maybe an old cordoba? monte carlo? 2nd gen camaro?... dunno, would require a careful search/measuring....
J-body did have a T-roof option, just rare. Maybe G-body GM. Aspen/older Cordoba wouldn't work, the roof is too rounded.

Went to talk with them about doing the headliner while they were at it. For those who've never looked, F-J-M body headliners are made with a fiberous...something, and they simply sprayed resin on one side, glue on the other and pressed fabric onto it. '80s Mopar headliners are junk, I've played with enough to know. Mercifully, mine is still 95% together, so I get to price either polyurethane or resin and they'll spray it down and we'll recover it.
Getting the headliner out, I noticed that a very small drop of water was on it. Look up. There is a rust-hole, about a ball-point pen tip in diameter, right in the center of the rust band on the roof. For bonus points, there's gotta be one in the back window frame, the trunk is getting moisture, too. Bought a car cover for it for the time being.
I will be getting metal after the trip, will have it up at Buickguy's place when I get the metal. I don't care if it looks Frakenstien'd when I'm done w/it, as long as it's sealed.
In the meantime, I did find this: '83 'Doba on eBay. I'm really thinking about having two and selling the Super Sport when I get down there...

I reapplied the spray-on rust converter and primed it. If tomorrow's weather holds I've got some POR15 ready.
