Mater, kinda hard when I'm in AZ and it's still in WA.
Milner: It's "J's" shop, the guy who did the headers. Somehow, he agreed to help piece the car back together for me since I'm gone. So all the parts I've been stocking (The suspension pieces, the 360/904, etc) he is going to do. Basically, by the time I am back in the SeaTac region this summer, I will have it back. I am waiting on a response for one cache of parts that includes a floor-shift conversion, and I've got a known functioning gauge panel coming from a guy who's mating a Charger SRT8 floorpan to a Mirada.
One thing I am looking at is that Atomic EFI kit...depending on how good the summer is, that might be in the works. If the summer is as good as I hope I'll earnestly look into adding another pedal.
Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!
"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."
Not sure how likely that will line up, but if it does, I'll be out there.

Congratulations, man. You've just inherited the "Patron Saint of Automotive Lost Causes" from me. No question.

Car in WA, me in AZ. Video as soon as I get my hands on it, roughly mid-May. It still has the suspension work to get finished, and if I heard him right, paint...

My stepdad can barely use a cellphone, and "J" likes his shop hidden. Between those, no bueno. Sorry. If it's any consolation, I'm more edgy about it than you are...

Today has sucked out loud. I'm not even hiding it. But the news on the car is even better.
1) It's not a 360. It's another fking 318. And during tuning, this one decided it had enough and shut down. Post-death teardown revealed a rusted cam and the most half-assed rebuild possible. So, it's getting the full-kill treatment. Cam will be "three stages past RV", heads are being cleaned up. Bright side, the crank looks awesome, no work needed for the bottom end. I'm not pleased, and my stepdad, who worked the deal to buy them, is ready to bury a boot up someone's ass.
2. I have no idea how much it costs to freight shit. I don't have measurements for the body patch panels, nor weights. Who do ya'll use? Seriously, I want to get it all done this summer so I can quit stressing over this f**king car.

Aaron: they're coming from GA. The patches cover that thin C-pillar and the pass. quarter panel.
Scott: it is extremely difficult and time consuming to shove a 440 into an FJM. It's not impossible, but it's not happening here.

you need to find someone with a good corporate discount.
When I had my quarters sent from that area, it cost ~125 each. The best deals, beside corporate ones, happen if the person sending packs them and takes them to a trucking center. Be sure and pack them well, the trucking companies are not nice to the boxes. I had mine fedex'd because my ex father in law worked there - discount, but they were damaged because the company dropped the quarters in the box and didn't keep them from shifting.
