For me it was a 62 Tempest 4 banger.I got beat by a Model "A" ;D ;D It did have enough interior room to rank in the top 3 of "Parking"vehicles I had in my youth ;)

Re: The slowest car you have owned?
Toss up between '78 LeBaron (weakest rear gears of all time) or the '88 Hyundai Sonata my cousin gave me (max speed: 49 mph. No kidding.)Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

Re: The slowest car you have owned?
I had a 66 Corvair Monza (one of many) with a 110hp powerglide and a/c-the motor was cooked. I could run the a/c or go down the road-not both.
I bought the car for $35 from a neighbor. He had just called the junkyard to come haul it off and thought to come down and ask if I wanted it. The interior was mint so I did. He said he gave it a tune up and now it won't run-I gave him the $35, got the title in my hands, put the plug wires back in the right order, and drove off in it.Comment

My bulldozer, definitely top speed 5 mph.
After that....hmmm....that corvair I had made the Chevette look fast, but the vair needed some engine work.
somehow I've managed to never owned a FWD car

Re: The slowest car you have owned?
lifted, diesel suburban..... highway gears (2.42s), 33 12.50/15 tires.... 0-60 is measured with a calendar. I was hauling a few people and their bikes up Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island - had to use low range to get up the paved road. (in all fairness, there were 16 people and their bikes in the 'burb.)Doing it all wrong since 1966Comment

Re: The slowest car you have owned?
All of them? Sadly the quickest I've been able to get one of my cars down a 1/4 was 15.58 in my Centurion. My Skylark when it had the 3.8L was even slower than my Jeep, and probably had a lower top speed than the jeep.Escaped on a technicality.Comment

Re: The slowest car you have owned?
This picture was taken in the late 80's, the white Chevette on the end was my daily driver and the slowest vehicle I've ever had. How slow was it you ask, when I drove it on the Highway the bugs would splatter on the back glass! I wish I still had the 64 Elky but you can't keep everything!

bugs spatter on the back glass. thats funny. man i dont feel bad now other than my slowest car not being an american owned company..... 99 honda civic 4DR 1.6L auto (single cam, NO vtec) the bad thing is, the way i drove it people thought it was fast. lol by far the slowest thing i have owned, but did have a top speed of 110-120 if you give it time.Comment

'77 Accord hatchback with a whopping 80 hp and a two speed manual shift auto. Gutless frigging turd. Topped out about 85-90 mph. It did get more than 40 mpg on the highway.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver
