"What were your plans for the slowest piece of crap you owned"
Before I kicked the chubrolet habit, I wanted a 350 / roots blower through the hood of the Nova. Pffft. Then I sold it for twice what I paid for it plus a '75 Monte Carlo... probably the last time I made money on a trade. ;D
My friend in HS had the slowest car I've ever ridden in. His Dad gave him a 80 Mercedes 190D. It was the non turbo and was a non mover too. We were all jealous he got a near new Benz to cruise in until we rode in it. It couldn't spin the tires on ice. It was absolutely terrifying trying to accelerate fast enough to merge on a freeway. He got beat by a 63 VW Microbus driven by a twice baked hippy. Since Jay crashed the driver's ed car; I understand why he got it.

I just did a front end aligment on one I think you win it is prolly the slowest thing i have ever driven and this was far from new I figured it was wore out lol. It sounded and smelled like a german tiger idleing when i pulled it in the shop.
If you owned one for a while, it would cure your soft spot for them...
Cheapest piece of crap I ever owned. You literally had to help the windows up with your right hand while you cranked with your left hand otherwise the window would jam and bend the channels, then the window would fall out of the tracks the next time you put it down. If you leaned against it too hard you would dent the sheetmetal. Mine had dents in the hood from pushing it down to latch it. The front brake pads would wear in a wedge pattern because the caliper brackets were too weak and would flex... Did I mention I hated that car???
The only good part of the car - 40mpg every day literally holding it to the floor constantly. Made it possible to make it through my freshmen year of college, until I could buy something better. Paid $1000 for it, put 20K on it, and sold it a year later for $950.
This, however, is freakin' awesome. Same car as mine, 2door hatchback. Should have done that to mine, but that would have made me want to keep it...
My Malibu, I cant get the damn thing out of the Garage

it was my secondary car (i had a 81 c20 pick with 4 tens in it...) a 86 dodge 2.2l TC3/024/charger...nice car, nice paint,no rust,a fully loaded turd...by oct i had sold the truck...planned on using the car for the winter...on dec 23 coming home from the shop...it blew a head gasket on the way home...called my GF...said,"forget supper...im gonna go and buy a truck..".i limped the car to local chevy dealer (6 miles or so...)...by 7;30 i had bought a 1995 chevy 1500 WT-victory red...man that was a sweet truck... 8)
"IGNORANCE SHOULD BE EFFIN PAINFUL"
522 cubes on One Gun,doin' it on W's at full weight baby!
Ford escort, or the chevette...oh wait, I buzzed around in a deisel rabbit, 65mph top speed, but 60mpg. I admit I choose to forget caring for one. Another slow poke, was an older straight six deisel ford f-350. Never quite figured it out. that same truck nearly killed me after the frame sprung...I guess we figured out where the power was going after all..
The boxer type as in my nick has some slow ones, it's nearly impossible to keep them there, unless the owner is a bit off...the slower they tried to make it, the more likely to pull a house down.
All inline fours have been my slowest, and if to be in a "fast" one, the attempts at speed was insane. they just don't want to run...until 36 thousand rpm...
it figures to see some of the first 45psi turbos in a gas engine would be a inline four. As if their is no history at all about truth and slowness, and hopeless, and what is the champ.

the death rate and fairy tales cannot kill the nature left behind.
For me, it was my '84 Chevy Blazer.. "mildly built" 350... But it didn't matter. The thing had 3.23's front/rear and I was running 38" mudders. This truck wouldn't get out of it's own way, but it would do 237 MPH on the highway (after about 30 minutes!).
I even had a small B&M Supercharger on it.. That made no difference, it was just destined to be a dog.
