Same here. 1984 Ranger 2.0L 1bbl carb, 4 speed, 3.08 gears. It was, however, faster than my buddie's n/a diesel Isusu p'up. That thing is still trying to get up to 60.
Mine must have been an 82' - only had it about 6 months (blue and tan good looker though) and had to get something to take clients out in so I got an 85' Bronco II 6 cyl. - faster but not by much.

Probably the 3cyl Geo Metro that I had for a year. Why did I own a Geo Metro you ask? Poor college kid with a 50mile daily commute... HATED that car...

Although the '77 F150 that I just parted may have challenged the Metro for slowness, but the 2 dead cylinders in the 351M were to blame for that...
        Still plays with trucks....

It really had to be my 77 Monte Carlo the one I have now, back when it still had its 305 .It was fine on the highway but
          a slug around town.

1963 MG Midget. I could reach over the door skin (wasn't much of a door and had no windows) and touch the ground. I owned a '66 327/350hp Corvette roadster at the same time. Funny thing was that you thought you were hauling ass at 35 mph in the Midget with all the wind and engine noise.

But, I'd get pulled at an intersection by a guy on crutches in the crosswalk.

hatch back but it did get around town ok, and got around 30 mpg.
probley worse was my 81 cougar it had a 255 v8, it may have been
a little faster but only got 18 to 20 mpg

Re: The slowest car you have owned?

Technically ive only owned one car. but of the 3 ive driven daily, my jeep was by far the slowest. needed a car rebuild and a bunch of other work. ended up having a cracked piston. but with 112 hp and 3.07s and mud tires, i couldnt take it over 80mph.

I wouldn't doubt that...my dad had a '76 Malibu with a 305. It was one of the cars I learned to drive in.

1993 VW Golf It had a whole 90 HP. 130 KPH was tops on the autobahn. Needless to say I blew it up in less than a year.

Coolest transformation of a superecono-box into a fast car is a Metro on a tube frame chassis with shiny lumps poking out the hood. Its just plain shocking.

Seriously, I do have soft spot for Geo Metros. I think they are made for the kind of irresponsible fun that means they sort of get replaced pretty often. Like this:

                            or this:

And especially this: just skip to about 5:20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNuvU...eature=related

                            These are over the top.

I understand that, I had a 77 Colt with a auto and 1.6 mitsi, it looked good nice paint and US Indy Slots ,but it wasnt as slow as my 78 Regal 231A(105hp) V6 Auto and 2.73 rears, gas mileage and acceleration sucked.

Before I kicked the chubrolet habit, I wanted a 350 / roots blower through the hood of the Nova. Pffft. Then I sold it for twice what I paid for it plus a '75 Monte Carlo... probably the last time I made money on a trade. ;D
I had one of the old Buick aluminum V8s that was getting set to go in the Midget, then I got married...

                                Probably saved my life. :D
