Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

There are a couple of issues hampering the full fledged planning of this deal right now connected to the people involved with storing the truck and it's exact whereabouts. Tony may want to elaborate but let's just say he's not 100% certain stuff is happening as he is being told it is.

I was talking with him last night and he's not wanting anyone to get involved with a situation that may be "weird" until he sorts it all out.

            Calico....that sounds serious, and awesome.

Apparently the dudes in Tuscon are not exactly 100% honest. He also had a blazer there that has since "vanished".

My old Navy Buddy that lives in Wilcox is really good friends with a few State Troopers.....Hmmm.

Want me to make the call? I am sure it wouldn't be a problem.

Not to mention he and his friends would be more intimidating than the troopers.... ;)

If you need it Tony.....Say the word and I can help resolve this quickly.

Honestly... I realllllllly appreciate the enthusiasm you all have for making this happen.

What it really boils down to is that when Red Ball ONE happened, it started on one end with concrete info and people that were 100% trustworthy.

As of right now, I am not on the starting end, and I cannot say that about where the truck is right now, and who physically has it. Without my personally being there, I can't truly say this has concrete info.

I refuse to abuse the great enthusiasm you all have by making a bunch of plans based on shaky info.

I respect you guys too much to jerk you around if things fall through at the AZ end of this.

                  While the background is long and painful, I'll spare most of the details, save these;

After I built the motor, I moved. I couldn't take the truck at that time, so I had a buddy at a 'friends' shop drop it in, with the agreement that it would be shipped right after. The owner of the shop (Precision Transmission, 22nd St., Tucson) also agreed to sell a rockcrawler big-block blazer for me on consignment, and that he'd get any amount over a reserve price.

My pickup was done, and I started getting the run-around.

The buddy of mine has been helpful, but he's aware of the fact that he needs to keep his job there...

When I called last week, the owner answered, put me on hold, and promptly left the premises.

My buddy saw the hold light on the phone flashing, answered, and informed me that my blazer was removed from the premises, but doesn't know when, or where it currently is. He says he took my pickup to his house to keep it safe. (?)

So, my gameplan is shot, and now I'm saving for airline tickets to Tucson and lawyer's fees.

                  Any suggestions?

i believe those are revolvers tho it does sound kinda the same.... if the legal route comes up void with your property, im sure there is a way to at least get something in return from this shop.... or make them with they had. keep us posted

all you really need is a positive ID on the whereabouts of said vehicle(s) the rest can be handled aproprietly. maybe a private investigator would be a better investment over said lawyer?
