Still no art on the car...I picked up the Weiand decals today, and talked to the panting guy, apparently our phones don't like each other. Made an appt for tomorrow at 5pm. Nothing like doing this stuff at the last second.
Trunk is loaded with lots of crap, Dan is fired up and ready to go, we'll be heading out Thursday morning bright and early. I hope the car holds together, it's making interesting new noises. My fabulous web page

No confirmation the trans shield is rubbing something? Bring a few select hand tools to field overhaul a TH400?Escaped on a technicality.Comment

It sounds like the blower....I think I remember the same sound from 12 years ago, before I had the blower rebuilt. At that time I put a different (unblown) engine in the car for about a year, and sent the blower off to be redone, while I was slowly overhauling the blower motor.
We'll see what happens....I might have to stop and see Keith in Texas

take an intake and carbs with you....I'll rub my rabbits foot for you, maybe say a few prayers to the hot rod gods....If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

good idea! I have a torker and an 800 dp.
Although I'd also need a 454 damper, and a few other goodies to make it work....Last edited by squirrel; September 4, 2013, 09:57 AM.My fabulous web page

He probably has 12 of them in a box somewhere between his slightly used flux capasitor and the slew of vintage computers!Originally posted by Scott Liggett View Post454 dampers are still pretty easy to get.If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment
