Re: Been thinking about swapping cams

    It's funny how things work....

Get all wound up to have my cam reground and *poof* one of the grinds I was looking at comes up for sale.... cheap. w00t

    It's a Doug Herbert cam.

Rough idle, good mid range torque, 10.5:1 advised, oval track/bracket racing

    RPM Range: 2500-6800
    Advertised Duration: 286/290
    Duration @ .050: 246/253
    Lift: .663/.680
    Lobe Center: 108c

A little less aggressive than the one that is in it, but does not bleed off as much cylinder pressure. Less duration and a tighter LSA by 4?. EAP show it to kick the current cam's butt all the way to 6000, at which point, the heads become the restriction I believe.

So, new cam is on the way. ;D ;D ;D ;D
