EAP is a super freakin' program. Think of it as Desktop Dyno on steroids.

It allows A LOT more info to be input than DD. Stuff like port size, length, anti-reversion percentages, rod length, ring tensions, intake runner length and taper, intake plenum volume, header length. Basically, you name it and you can just about modify it.

Seth found a used roller for the BBC - I know they are more common that BBF - but have you set up an ebay search for one? you might get lucky and find one...

Herbert has a solid roller cam that would probably be fine for a long tiime. Their cams are reasonably priced.

Anybody ever have a regrind done? The lobes are so big on this one that I could nearly have 2 cams made from it. haha

EDIT!

Just called Delta cams. A regrind on this cam would be $93. This is it! I am just gonna have this cam reground to lower the duration and go with it. Yee Haw!

Do they have a profile that you think will work well with the rest of your combination?

I think this has been answered before - but, can you swap out your solid roller lifters for hydraulic roller lifters on the reground cam? Then you have the best of it all.... right?

Do you have the sonic check / magnaflux info on the next block yet?

I think I am going to try to have either a Lunati 51607, Comp XR286R or XR292R profile put in it.

Negative. It will still be solid roller, just with a very much much friendlier "street" grind with about 20+ degrees less duration that will work with my existing valve springs.

That will make the motor happier with my converter and gearing, which is what I want.

I have had a herbert regrind, it was a real good cam
didnt have any problems with it, it is still running in a
I.M.C.A modified 5 seasons now!!!!
