shooting off the top of my head, the Snapper walk behind I have was a gift from my dad. It's one of the original aluminum deck mowers...I forget but I know he bought it before I was born in the lte 70's.
My Murray riding mower was one of his old mowers again, but I want to say from the early 90's.

Do y'all realise what a bunch of sick puppies we are? Here's 4+ pages of otherwise sensible adults rambling on about their love affair with their lawn mowing appliances. Notice I was right in there. We all need professional help.......

Don't get me wrong. If one of us was named "Chad" and the lawn mower in question was a farm animal, then the love affair would be understandable. Sick, but understandable.

Dan, I'm not offended. But I do feel bad for you for being concerned about our collective mental health. This discussion is not only perfectly logical and intelligent, but moral-boosting and stimulating as well. If I wasn't religious, I'd send Positive Energy; I'll throw a prayer up for you instead.

I take my lawn mowing seriously, man.

I noticed that te bolt pattern on my wheel horse is the same as a small bolt gm 5 bolt pattern ! been thinking also of going with a gasser style wheel tire combo since the front will be spindle mount ! O.K .........I admit I have a problem.

Ours is a '60s or '70s Simplicity 3210 with a 48" cut, a 48" push blade (a godsend in the winter), and a rototiller. Old 10 horse will run whether it is 120 degrees or -20. I love that little sucker.

No professional help needed here. Haven't owned a mower in about 15 years. Some dude mows my lawn.

THAT'S how sick I am. A couple mows our yard, and I STILL have 2 lawnmowers! But I'm not the only one.

Last year we replaced the 42" Craftsman rider with the Dixie Chopper for cutting the 5 acres at the shop.

                    It is AWESOME!

33hp Generac, 66" cut will cut the yard in 3hrs with lots of obstacles.

I definitely have way to many riders '68' wheelhorse '72' wheelhorse '80' cubcadet '90' white. My favorite by far of all of them are the wheelhorses.

A 1995 JD 425 with a 60"deck to mow just a little over an acre.
I get it done in about 45 minutes.
Also have a 54" snow blade. The tractor has full hydraulics so the blade hade lift along with power angle.
I got it two years ago with 280 hours on it and got a SMOKING deal on it.
This replaced an early 70's Cub 1200 that was a little tired.

For most of my mowing pleasure I use a Bic... ( black only please )...

But for the odd occasion where i actually get off my ass and mow one of the property's... I've got a POS walk behind.. ( takes up very little room ).... and a Kick ass John Deere 3 Edger... a real live old school walk behind edger like God wants you to have... I think I built it back in 84... hard to start but works like stink!!!!

Not a mower but mower tires.
I built this for his first Birthday, just now enjoying it.

I mowed a lot of grass with it growing up. When my dad upgraded to a 80's model red cub cadet with hydro drive and 18hp Kohler twin, I just couldn't bear to see him sell the old 110, so I bought it off of him. I don't really use it to mow with anymore, it's sitting in the shed waiting on a full resto.

I mow with a '97 Ferris Hydrowalk commercial walk-behind with sulky. It has a 48" cut and a 13hp Kawasaki. I bought it new as a dealer demo in '98 to start my mowing business while I was in high school. Paid for my first 2 trucks, a few dirt bikes, books and gas for 4 years of college, a cheap car for college, among other things all with the earnings from that thing. It has gotten a break in use since I graduated in 2004 and got a real job, since then serving to mow at my place and my grandfather's place. I am convinced that it is absolutely indestructible, and the only repairs that I have made in the 11 years of ownership, were rewelding a pulley bracket that cracked, and replaced the rear tires (just last year) due to dry rot. I've worn out 4 sets of blades (when I was mowing I'd sharpen the blades every week), but I've yet to replace even the belts! If I ever do replace it (don't plan to) I'll probably upgrade to a Ferris ZTR with the 4-wheel suspension ;D.
Eric, get that Cub out.....I think we need to do a pull-off. I got my 69 WH raider 10 and a chain! ;D
                                Haha... You're on!!! ;D

The old Cub's been through the ringer, since both my brother and myself used it to mow grass for a bunch of neighbors for many years. The clutch is shot, but that will get rebuilt as well as new paint and a new seat. The connecting rod broke in the old Kohler about 10 years ago, but luckily it broke on the big end and didn't hurt the block. We rebuilt it and it's been going strong ever since.
                                Still plays with trucks....
