I think the end is near...I don't know how much longer I am going to be able to stay in the USAF like this...the back pain is back...fell 3 times today...it was a good year and a half...but the procedure they did finally wore out...walking with a cane again...couple that with the bad disks in the neck and the messed up shoulder...*sigh*

Much as you don't wanna look at it, sooner or later you have to figure out when to call it quits. You can't kick the shit out of yourself forever and expect to walk away from it. The fact you've pushed on with those kinds of injuries is commendable enough. Now, I'd start getting your stuff together for retirement/separation and make sure it's all good before the process really kicks off. Get everything you can and get out. I have Degenerative Disk Disease...I have multiple degenerating disks and a few bulging. Some of the ones that are bulging are way down low and hit the sciatic nerve...when it hits the nerve just right...I stumble, or fall over..if I am lucky I can catch myself. The can helps. The fixed the side that was giving me issues but it seems that things shifted to the other side now..The others that are bulging are up high and cause these headaches called Occipital headaches, like a migraine.Originally posted by catchmeblue70 View Post

I feel so conflicted right now. I'm calling the machine shop tomorrow morning and hoping they say the engine is done, at which point I leave town for a day trip to pick it up, where otherwise the pretty environmental engineer wants someone (can be me!) to just be a passenger while she drives around the mine site familiarizing herself with the roads before some contractors show up later in the week. I want both to happen... but can only do one or the other... Well I hope at least one or the other happens tomorrow, since nothing is ever certain, but the possibilities....
