got oil out the driver side, have been running the drill for 15 - 20 minutes and the passenger sid eis dry. help???

Engine type?
Mine were sporatic. Started with three on the drivers side, then two on the passenger side, then I lost track of which ones got oil next, it just took some time. I was probably on it for at least 30 minutes before all the rockers had oil on them.Escaped on a technicality. -

what are you using to prime with ?if it is just a shaft with out the collar on it like the bottom ot the dist. you may not get oil on the other sideComment

Dave got it, I was using just a shaft with no collar. got another distributor(hard to do on a sunday in a small damn town) ..
ripped it apart, ground down the shaft to fit in the drill, and boom... oil on both sides.
