No. The cost of racing at that level is directly proportionate to the amount of money comapanies have laying around that needs burned/laundered. These teams that are failing will come around again with the economy.

Possibly the millions of dollars that fans spend to get their favorite driver's merch is what drives the teams to spend the millions they do. How many people did you used to see wearing a #8 or #3 tshirt, hat, jacket or whatever else?

what do you suggest ?
mine are - go back to 1967 body styles , big blocks , rock hard tires , sit about 8 inches off the ground
run at short tracks every wednsday night -ban power steering

That was pretty well my thoughts also. What are they getting out of these new body styles anyway?

Maybe it's a sign of the economics, maybe a sign of DEI. The Petty Ganassi #44 seems to getting sponsorship and they weren't doing as well. I hear they just secured sponsorship for the rest of the season.

I would like to see them race some STOCK cars! maybe put some dirt track
races on the schedule!! make it cheaper!
