Indeed they were ;D ;D. My Father used up three Rolls of Film taking Pictures of the Jobsite at the time. He actually knew some of the Men who worked the Jobsite(from Highschool...). The feeling back then was pure exitement,Chicago had their 'own' Sears Tower which was just reaching completion at the time, and people were just overwhelmed, said Pop. It truly was an interesting time,it's just a shame that the Buildings turned out to be such Lemons,People who worked at/in the WTC Complex would even tell you that, often to your Face!! I went up in the Towers about 13 times in my lifetime,it seems that everytime I went in them, there was alway's 'an area blocked off(for flood cleanup/repairs,ect... :P...)or 'an area being repainted/whatever. LOTS of patchwork repairs. ~J/W-OO6.

They have good ones at Home Depot made from nylon they're pretty tough and made here.
My dad worked at the twin towers in the very early 70's during construction,it was his first job when he got here
from Italy. Typical NY construction job, but it was something to see when it was finished. He said it was always very
impressive every time he saw them which was almost every day after moving on to another line of work.
I saw this last year at a t-shirt stand at a car show. It made me sad. I'm sure this shirt or ones like it were a hot seller in the first year after 9/11.
