That's one thing they are extremely anal about, body lines. Chuck spent hour after hour making sure the new nose was lined up right... Not to mention the work the trunk lid needed.. That was crazy.

First, I had to take a good look at my original picture, because for some reason I thought the 01 on the doors went in the direction of the (upper) body line. They aren't, they are lined up even with the bottom of the door.. No big deal..



The roof section and doors are both wetsanded in preparation of the graphics..







Old graphic in place, if for nothing else just to compare the size... The new stencil kit will be in on Monday. This will give a truck Georgia style flag/lettering setup for the roof.





The old #'s came off in one pc, just like the flag, thanks to BK's excellent prep job. This actually helped quite a bit, in the end.





Think the old roof vinyl was a little off?? Measurements were taken before the flag was removed, and this is where it was (and the tape is where it needs to be).































There's a few more coming, but this is the bulk of them. Graphics should be done this week, then the fun/rewarding work really begins!!!!

Here's a car I know you'll all love. This thing's an animal.. Runs a 19 second 1/4 mile... Great daily driver!!

And a bit off subject, but this is going to be awesome when they are done with it.. Their true love goes to Mopar, but they are equal opportunity employers!!

The engine bay/undercarriage is all 100% brand new and to OEM spec. It's amazing the detail that went into this car!!

I am a HUGE fan of '63-'67 Corvettes...my favorite bodystyle!

Is this example a 396 or 427?

When do you anticipate the General making his next march?

I've lettered a Dodge Charger for a guy here locally. Vinyl-lettering that is.
He had all the decals for the car stored in a tube for over 2 years.
The numbers on the doors went on OK, but the slightly aged transfer-material on them had left some marks over the years which we noticed when we pulled it off them.
The large roof-flag decal didn't work out as we couldn't get rid of a large fold because of the roof's arch. He didn't fancy the idea of my of cutting a slit in the rear of the decal so the fold would most probably go away. So we left off the flag for now while he's finding out how to proceed next.
Painting it on is an option he's condering now asewell.

Ok guys, there's been a LOT of progress since I last posted.. I wanted to share some pictures with you... I really hope some of you get a chance to see the work they are doing (in person). Pictures DO NOT do it justice!!

Ok, here are a few shots I took with my camera...

Going back a couple of days, here's the roof artwork after it was completed less than 24 hours before... The White is a Pearl White and the Blue is a gorgeous Pearl... They REALLY pop in the light. The only color that a Pearl wasn't used was the Black... The Blue is what really jumped out at me though, it is a stunning color.

You can barely see the line where it was masked off to clear... It'll all be glass when it's wet sanded and buffed!!













And finally, the moment I've been waiting MONTHS for, IT'S OUTSIDE IN THE SUNLIGHT!!! I can almost picture what it'll look like with chrome, wheels, glass, etc... Amazingly enough, these pictures don't really focus on the metallics in the paint like I was hoping , but it's ok, there will be more...















The rear panel will be semi-gloss black once the car's been wet sanded/buffed out..

Ok, just a couple of "filler" shots I took in between stages that I never posted..

First, is this really cool '57 Chevy Convertible the guys were working on.. This is one Hell of a car!!









And last, just wait.. There are some special plans for this shirt, a dummy and about 500 rounds of ammo from an automatic weapon.. That's going to be an entertaining video, as well as a good stress reliever.

Oh, that's for sure!! I'm hoping to get the Dynamat on the floors/trunk this week, before the wetsanding/buffing, but we'll see.

I am so happy with the way this thing has turned out.. Like I said, in person this thing glistens like a diamond.
