its nuts up there, i watch about a dozen street races one nught the cops showed up and we all just moved life less than 1/2 mile away and started back up. like blockin off the ends of the streets and all. cars lined the edge and the ends. its gets crazy though big money and big guns up there.

i've went through a few bottles of spray out there....I saw Adams (opie's) camaro in one of those vids, must be a couple of years ago. I haven't been out there since he was killed.

I heard it's a sad story. Do you know what happen? Heard bits and pieces. Something about a guy going out there to stop street racers and Adam had words with him, and got shot.

i've went through a few bottles of spray out there....I saw Adams (opie's) camaro in one of those vids, must be a couple of years ago. I haven't been out there since he was killed.

I heard it's a sad story. Do you know what happen? Heard bits and pieces. Something about a guy going out there to stop street racers and Adam had words with him, and got shot.

I am Adam, Opies Mom, What happened was my son was uptown in Flint Saturday night June 11, 2006 with all his racing friends the usual, everyone waiting for the next race sitting in a parking lot, a Gang Member, nobody new but a few who identified him as such, came in spinning up rocks on the cars, my son , some others yelled at him to get out and knock it off, most everyone had left , except my Adam "OPIE" was his street nickname, and three of his friends, Adam was setting his timing for a nitrous run, this Gang member came back with two other gang members in a different car, jumped out, and filled my son full of bullets.....my son was on the operating table three hours, his heart stopped 12 times because of the loss of blood, the 12th time they could not get his heart going again, My son was a master Mechanic at a GM dealership, 25 yrs old, almost 26, and raced his 83 camaro for 10 years, he was able to identify his shooters, shooter was tall thin black male with braids, the other two also were black males, one of them they sent to prison for 12 to 22 yrs, the ring leader, we are still trying to get them to send the other two to prison also, since the real shooter may be this other one, We have pressured for the State Police to take over investigations, and now the State is involved, were not happy at all with only 1 killer going away, they are known as the Project Boys in Flint, that is thier Gang name.....they did not even know my son, My son would have gladly showed them tricks of how to go fast, had they only parked thier car, rather than spin rocks and damage the racers cars......That is what happened to my Son......Thank God two of his friends whom he wrenched on thier cars, and was thier mechanics identified this person for us, or we would never even know who killed our son....
Here is one of the videos I have, of my Boy racing on the John.....I always expected him to die racing his car, not from a cowards bullets....He always told his me when he went to heaven probably one of his friends was going with him, because he ususally was racing.....he loved and lived to race, that was his passion, oh and very secretive about his car and what he did to it, he even had a hiding spot we found under the dash for an extra Nitrous bottle......

he had his car parked and these fools kept doing donuts and spraying his car with rocks, when they came back he went and said something to them and a kid got out of the car and shot him......that's the way I understand it.

Very sorry to hear about your son. I can't imagine loosing one of my two boys like that. :'(

Can't tell you how many times I've walked over and yelled at some kid for doing donuts at "the lot" and spraying cars with rocks -- I bet others here have done that too. Could have happened to any of us.

No, it happened the way I told it, the guy left, after Adam and his friends yelled at him for throwing up rocks on the cars, and chipping thier cars, and he came back in a different car about 15 minutes later, disguised, with two friends, blocked my sons car in, jumped out of the car, my son was trapped by his car door, he couldnt run and duck like the others and he shot my son 4 times.....It is a nightmare, thanks for your kind words, just warn your children, this world is not the way it was when we were young, no more fist fights, now they use guns, I hate to say it, but we carry a gun all the time now, wont leave home without it, its dangerous out thier....Thanks Ethlekilledfred for coming where I hang with the racers to let me know that someone was wondering what happened, hopefully the Mich State Police can get the other two now for us. This site is just like the other site, its a copy of gofastzone......
