    What's for Dinner?

This bird's got a beer up its butt. I've got a few in me, too, but they went in the other way.

Beer can chicken is YUMMY, but it sure makes a heckuva mess to clean up. Worth it.

Tonight it's pan seared scallops w/ spinach orzo along with roasted lemon-garlic green beans. Mother's day choice by the wife, and I LOVE cooking for her.

We do the Mother's Day dinner a day early, because our usual Mother's Day meal is a 4 generation extravaganza, along with all the in-laws and out-laws, with tons of southern/comfort foods, and while yummy to me, my wife has little desire to scarf fried chicken, ham, mustard greens and okra gumbo.

Mother's day meals are always a win-win for me.

Tonight was Wendy's chili for me, ME's usual turkey roll-up for her. As we've aged food has become less important although I DO enjoy a good pig-out from time to time. I can't get out right now as driving is off the table until I can get off the drugs (probably another week or two). Hopefully I'm losing weight but I haven't checked lately. I usually have lunch out as ME isn't interested given her restricted diet, followed by a light dinner.

Neal, you got that backward. There was some beer, and we also had chewable food.

No way Vidalia onions are shipped that far north. That had to be a Yankee onion.
