i like i would rip out the carb 3.8 turbo though and at least swap in a later EFI 3.8 turbo from a T-typeOriginally posted by Remy-Z;n1167534Congratulations, man. You've just inherited the "Patron Saint of Automotive Lost Causes" from me. No question.

sure..rip out the rarest part and then hack it even worse.Originally posted by Mater View Posti like i would rip out the carb 3.8 turbo though and at least swap in a later EFI 3.8 turbo from a T-type
I like this..almost truthful:
wow.3.8 Litre V-6 Turbo ( a $550.00 option )
550 dollar option.
I like when these show up..reminds me of my pontiac 301...not in a firebird turbo, but a delta88.
or the HO 305 (flat pistons small chambered heads) in my 1984 grand prix LE.
I even found the madness on old subarus.
wherever the assembly line finishes off apparently.
the blo thru carb stuff gets me going. I recently found a italian weber 32/34, designed from factory, called DMTT to be turbo blo through..also 1980-81..old stuff now.
cost? 600 dollars.(I am just crazy enough to buy it)
that is more than the whole 3.8 v6 in the wrong place.Last edited by Barry Donovan; November 20, 2011, 05:36 PM.Previously boxer3main

That's the car I'm talking about, though I'm looking for one with a floor shifter and a center console..........Originally posted by Mater View Posti like i would rip out the carb 3.8 turbo though and at least swap in a later EFI 3.8 turbo from a T-type
As for ripping the V6 out, that is a given, it's just going to get replaced with a twin turbo small block............Comment

I know this will make people turn in their graves, but I'd take a number matching Yenko Camaro and tub it if I had the means of getting my hands on one.............Rare or not if it serves my purpose I'm gutting it..........Originally posted by Mater View Postwho said any thing about it being a hacked job? even though it's rare does not mean it was agood engine and i would liek to actualy drive it lolLast edited by TC; November 20, 2011, 08:50 PM.Comment

No one would turn in their grave because it would never happen.Originally posted by TC View PostI know this will make people turn in their graves, but I'd take a number matching Yenko Camaro and tub it if I had the means of getting my hands on one.............Rare or not if it serves my purpose I'm gutting it..........Originally posted by TCalso boost will make the cam act smallerComment

I've been busy building another car and trying to have it at Gainesville in Feb. We have to order a couple drums of nitro sometime after Thanksgiving. So I was thinking I should wait until after then, that way I already have it running, I only have a gallon or so right now and it's not really worth trying anything with that little.Originally posted by TCalso boost will make the cam act smallerComment

and your build threads are where? you ask enough questions to have like 8 cars running by now.Originally posted by Stich496 View Postwhy not add a build thread in the project are, I wanna see this thing.. as it'll be a new thing to learnwww.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!Comment
