Just talked to Seth and Luke, first rn had an issue with a turbo tube blowing off and still went thru at 146 with shut down in a half mile. Dave ran the next pass and went thru at 170,Traction was not an issue and it continued to hook up all the way.Tommorow should see a 200 pass with all systems working properly.Ia m going down in the am and will update in the evening when the car comes back here for some rest.

UPDATE, anyone?  Smiley   Bad news or good news first? I'll decide...

Saturday: Operating at 9-ish pounds of boost, running 111 octane fuel.

*Turbo inlet came off, still pulled 4th gear. 146mph --Luke

*Plenty of traction. White smoke from the downpipe upon
deceleration. PCV or oiling problem?   170mph --Dave

Sunday:   Fixed PCV problem, fueled up and headed to the line...

Clean pass w/ chute pull.  172mph --Steve
Clean pass w/ chute pull.  180mph --Luke
Clean pass w/ chute pull.  188mph --Luke

Upped boost to 11 pounds Grin

Clean pass w/ chute pull.  190 mph --Luke

Upped boost to 13 pounds Grin

NO traction, but fun.  Grin Grin Grin 182mph --Luke

SO.... no real BAD news. We had some hiccups, sure, and noone has a green hat YET,
but all in all it was a safe meet with some Banzai runs and a LOT of learning. Already
in the works: new Optima battery, new radiator, updated seat, new DS loop...

hmmmm

new engine, turbo, untold other fabricated pieces, wiring, suspension bits, tires......

a good weekend is not breaking anything when you have it sorted out!

You guys hauled the mail with unproven set up - and only had a hiccup with oil control.... WELL DONE!

I can see it already - next meet you'll be disapointed you didn't hit 250!  Grin

Thanks for everyone's support. This weekend made up big time for all
the long hours and empty bank accounts incurred by this project. Our
major goals were safety, fun and not breaking anything, so I think we
were hugely successful there. Thanks for the chute compliment, Mike.
You and Dave have been just as much a part of this project as any of
the RHR team members. So congratulations to both of you, as well Grin
