~190~ Hope Everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
Looks like I've missed a few things in the past few days. Now that info (hopefully more accurate!) is starting to leak out, What is the best way to work out places to stay? Do most Bangshifters try to group up at area hotels, try to stay mostly at "host" hotels, what works best for the average guy? thanks!

190......"Host" hotels are usually the most expensive ones in the city, and the "bigwigs" aren't usually seen. A lot of us will get together at certain hotels. As soon as the schedule is certain, you'll start seeing posts of who is staying where.Terri B. Long Hauler, Cars and Cones participant, Land Speed Racer

~190a~ Thanks for the info. A few years back (2005 & 2008) I tried planning to do the Long Haul, but Army Duty & other things got in the way, so a HRPT trip never happened. This will be my first, so I'm trying to figure it all out, but don't want to get caught behind the 8 ball once the True PT info goes viral.'86 Monte SS (sold) ~ HRPT 2015, '17, '18 ~ Long Hauler

190 I have been known to open one screen to see a map of the venue & another to check out motels in that area. That works pretty well since we book our own rooms. Usually through Choice Hotels, Holiday Inn, Wyndam or Hampton Inns. We may change rooms if someone on here finds a better deal. And occasionally someone who lives in the venue area will recommend or warn against a specific area. Plain as mud, right?...when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.
