Gotta ask where this rumor came from based on the Muskeon, MI financial disaster of years past. Little Rock's fairgrounds is in a "lovely" neighborhood. Hopefully Memphis is MIR again.

I'm planning! Nice early rumors. I heard more than one person speculate it would break tradition and start in Detroit. Or maybe finish there? Who knows.

I would like to see Newton Iowa, Something in Nebraska then down to Kansas then go south or east...

I usually don't play into speculation much, but since I've been bored today at work and having withdrawals from only running three days of the tour, I've been thinking about what would make for a cool route for next year, with some different locations as well.

Day 1- Wisconsin Dells, WI
Day 2- Minneapolis, MN (230 miles)- New Vikings Stadium? Plenty of other sports venues
Day 3- Newton, IA (237 miles)- Iowa Speedway
Day 4- Columbia, MO(232 miles)- University of Missouri
Day 5- Joplin, MO(271 miles)- Not sure of a event location, but the route between run along Route 66 for a while
Day 6- Dallas, TX (373 miles)- Dallas Cowboys Stadium
Day 7- College Station, TX(180 miles)- Texas A&M, short run to make up for the long day 6 run, rest up for the ride home, and enjoy the last day and the long haul day.

Again, just totally talking out my ass here, I think the only repeats would be Wisconsin Dells and Newton. Man I'm bored, I'll never not long haul the tour ever again!

Day 1: Bismarck, ND - Badlands country or further west in Montana
Day 2: Denver, CO
Day 3: Albuquerque, NM
Day 4: El Paso, Tx (there's an unlimited mile top speed competition near there)
Day 5: Dallas, Tx
Day 6: Greenville, MI (or somewhere in the delta)
Day 7: Memphis, TN

Yes, I was bored today too...spent most of it looking at pics

Minneapolis, Brainerd or Duluth, Sioux Falls, Des Moines, Kansas City, Somerset. Just some cities that might work.

I know it'd be a haul (and HRPT was already in that general vicinity), but Pittsburgh and the Lincoln Highway near Latrobe would be a really great place to visit. There's a road course out there... :D

Don't know about the route, but the best planning ahead I can suggest is drive a tank to clear the traffic jams!! Taking 2 1/2 hours to travel 5 miles is beyond ridiculous.
