We were there last year on the Western Scenic Tour. Lots of great places to visit. Thread should be on here from 2016 WST.

Monument Valley down near Moab. That's where they shot a gazillion westerns.....
Kennecut Copper Mine near Salt Lake City.
And while you're nearby - go see the Great White Dyno.

All of the National Parks in the southern part of the state, plus the north rim of the Grand Canyon is nearby. Kanab is a great town to spend some time, over 100 westerns were filmed there. I-70 is also a nice drive across both Utah and Colorado.

Mom spent some time in Salt Lake City in the late 60s before having kids. Used to tell us all about her 68 Satellite Sport with gold interior. Said she couldn't afford the GTO.

Depending on where you are coming from..........

Bryce and Zion Parks are wonderful. Can be seen rather quickly.

Moab is a great place.........see Arches Nat'l park. Delicate arch is most famous. A quick google search will show pics of area. Arches is Probably the most scenic spot I can recommend. The drive from Moab North to I-70 along the river on Hwy 128 is extremely spectacular.

I have spent much time Jeeping in that area and it warrants a look if you can make a day or two.

                See you on the tour.

Weavercustoms (Torq) is somewhere close to Salt Lake City. All the National Parks in SW Utah are worth the trip.

If you will stop by Moab make sure to visit Arches National Park. You should definitely check out that rafting and canoe company that is offering kayak tours down the Colorado river. I don't remember it's name, but we had a great 2 hours trip (the easiest one) and it was pretty cheap. I don't think there are many companies like this one in moab so it should be easy to find :D
                    Best,

We loved stopping at the Grand Canyon........... The Colorado mountains are amazing as well.
