I figured I'd stat the conversation. So what are the dates? Crusin the Coast is Oct 2-9th this year.

My pick is Oct 14-16, had to pick vacation last December so I'm on vacation that weekend! And I can still check out cruising the coast maybe $$.

What is the "route" for this one? I know I can't make all 3 days, but maybe sat/sun, or is this at gearhead inn each night then you cruise somewhere each day?

Spend Friday evening/night at Gearhead. Saturday we go for a day cruise somewhere in the mountains and then end up back at Gearhead for the evening. Sunday is optional , some head home some do a short cruise then head out. Last year me and the boy's, and John & Kathy ran the whole Cherohala Skyway to Telco Plains TN.

Ahhhhh, maybe I will do Fri/Sat then. It's close enough to get there friday evening. I can run the C10 on this one, she loves the mountains. I've taken her on multiple NC/TN trips, even picked up a Christmas tree in NC last year.

Don't let the beautiful scenery fool you... it was about 25* that day.

I vote out September... it's our anniversary and we'll be in Cali for a couple of the weekends

There have been times our cruise had to take an alternate route due to snow closed passes. Once, we even got an escort by the Sheriff's department !

When it gets closer to a weld-it date, I'm gonna have to figure out what's happening at work. It's a dance that way. I haven't missed one since I started coming to the Fall Colors Tour, or the Spring Tour. I don't want to miss either one ever. It's just too much fun, the most fun ever. But can I get us there and still stay employed? It hasn't been that way before. Work's gone insane, and I'm running out of days off.

I'm not threatening to miss this one, just gotta see what the most popular date suggestion is, and see if we can meet it. I sure do hope so, being there is Plan A.

Done. Mary's thrilled, she said somebody there was talking about us last night, somebody who caught us being there one of those other times.
She said that would be a great weekend for us to be there.

That's so true, I've never thought about it that way. In my case, I stumbled into the forum and over time I started meeting the people. In Tim's case, he stumbled into all the the people holed up in one place, he skipped all of the pre-game stuff. So maybe he doesn't even need the forum. I dunno, it's hard to guess anybody's mindset.
