This was the koolest little town, the guy in my mirror (tan pants and black shirt) was a local police officer, encouraging everyone to do a burn out after they turned the corner.
You'll remember it because of the huge back up coming into town. The cars off to the left are in the "water box" provided by the towns water and sewer department.

Strong City, Kansas. We were running with Jim (black '67 Malibu) & a friend of his that was driving the blue Vega. The old Standard station belongs to another friend that he does the old-time drag racing around the midwest with. We all stopped to check out his cars & we had been parked right in front of the Vega. You must have snapped the picture in the 5-10 minutes between the time that we left & they did. You are right about the guy in the mirror but the guy behind the sign was spraying the blacktop with a hose when we pulled up....when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.
