  • I turned my C10 into a "shop truck"?

I've owned this truck for 18 years. It was my first vehicle. It's taken on a couple different looks over the years... I think I might like this one the most...

It all started with an idea I drew up in CAD and a friend with one of those sticker cutting machines.

Thanks to the great folks over at 67-72chevytrucks.com and comments from the upstate truck club I went from the first iteration to the final (there was quite a few along the way).

It takes balls to paint crap all over your truck... I'd have to say mine grew three sizes today...

I still want to shadow all of the letters like I did on "No.67"

Pretty happy with the final product (minus the shadowing... that's going to take a while).

              Thanks! I'm loving it.

I've spent so much time and money on the mustang the past couple of years, its about time my truck got some love. I ordered a new rear window/seal and some other trim pieces and I hope to respray the top white next weekend.

I hope the power tour swings up through the carolinas next year. Even with the 700R4, the truck still sucks a lot more fuel than the 65 mustang.

I also have a crate engine and 3.5/5 ECE drop kit sitting in the garage for her and a 3.73 1972 5 lug to convert it to 5 lug.

I forgot a close up of the "dealership tagline" I came up with.

Decided to keep "rolling with it."

Tops needs a repaint bad. Found a little rust under window I have to fix before moving on...

A few cool pics then recent progress:

I found her original colors... all white exterior and all medium blue interior... I haven't seen these colors in 18 years...

and finally, what it seems like people have been bugging me to do for at least the last 10 years... drop the old girl. Now seems as good a time as any. These rear springs were a pain in the butt. Even with cutting the springs it wasn't fun. I completely rebuilt the front end myself, so it should come back apart fairly easy.

The actual drop should be a fun surprise... I bought the ECE drop kit over 2 years ago? Pretty sure I bought their 3.5/5 kit (2.5" spindle with 1" spring up front with 5" coil springs for the rear).

...and down she goes! Sorry for the crappy pics, but it was almost dark out when I got the front PS done.

And for those with a keen eye, yes the doors are different, I still have to pick up the new stencil to replace the one I screwed up.
