What I have is a distributor cap with male HEI style terminals (9 in total) which has no provision for a coil or module in the cap. It has two sprung loaded attaching arms that swivel around the bottom of the base of the distributor to hold it on.
I probably am using the wrong terminology too.....I always considered those style of caps to be 'ignition', . They would usually run a separate controller (module) and coil.........perhaps a box like MDSs' -6 qualifies as HEI, but I never called either of those set ups HEI. HEI to me is coil-in-cap technology, but there again, I'm a backyard builder...........but in that case, I'm still not certain they would be interchangeable. Tech line at MSD is: 888-673-7859. They should help.

I told u that putting a LS motor and twin turbo's in, would have been easier.

Despite common perception - there is nothing easy about anything I do.

How do you know I didn't already do that - I now have a chevy distributor in the car!

It's not really a Chevy...rather some sort of morphidite hybrid...

              Where are you staying?
Willow and I will be at the Legacy Towers this year.
We are planning on leaving here early Wednesday morning (~7:00amish). No clue when we would roll through Tallahassee.

Not sure, I will find out though. I have a friend in Biloxi that we will visit (7 hot rods), but mostly I want to go to Ocean Springs on Sat. That is where I have had the most fun in the past. And the all you can eat King Crab Legs at the casino.
              Sorry Bruce . . . CtC !

              Can't wait DTB

                  We'll do Big D.

I am corresponding with some FL folks and hope to all get together at least once for a meal or something.

Good beer over there from Abita Springs. Just not the Turbo Dog Can't wait for a "micro" cold one and some of that great southern food over there !
