  • Don't look past ANYTHING

I lost a good friend/co-worker to cancer earlier this week to cancer at a young age of 51. We was a drag racer, Harley rider, and lead singer in a 60's rock band. He had a stack of time slips from Heartland Park from his 66 289 4 gear Fairlane. It wasn't real fast, but he just loved to race. He was always swapping engines around between his 3 old Fords. Lars (my friend) has a son in Arizona who is a member on a drag team crew. He has often spoke of them going on Drag Week together as my father and I have, but never did because life got in the way. I guess what I'm saying is don't just talk about it, DO IT! Because one of these days might be too late. RIP Lars Allen. Gonna miss you. Dan

Sorry to hear it Dan. It would mess me up for a while when we lost co-workers, particularly at a really young age. You've got the right of it, do it while you can... sounds like he did too!

Amen to that. I am so glad we (Cameron & I) went when we did. I had wanted to wait till I had the money together and the truck all lined out and running where I wanted it to be, etc.

So glad I did not wait for things to be all in line. We had an 18 year old pass this weekend in a trailer fire, and I just saw him Friday. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. Better stop, before I start preaching. (Don't want the BS Boot)
