Few more pics of the trip.
Ryan constructing a duct tape rain deflector for his air filter.

Ryan's busted caliper mount.... in a NAPA parking lot. How lucky is that?

The fix. Plugged the rear line at the MC and finished the week.

The Sonoma showed up in Noble.

The FAST Hemi Superbee was awesome.

    The leaky Ford was not.

Putting water back in it only to find that the pump was still leaking.

    The cheering section.

    The tow of shame.

    Great Bend

GREAT write-up! Sucks about the breakage, but I feel your pain (think 2013).
          DW2013 - DNF (Gateway - trans failure)
          DW2014 - SR BB/PA class winner!
DW2015 - Finished in 1 piece (for once!)
          DW2016 - Still "Fox Free" ;)

            The dreaded "Tow of Shame"

And the master cylinder plugging is a perfect example of why I dislike plumbing. It should be easy, I just need this one piece...that doesn't exist.

            Great pictures!
            Escaped on a technicality.

What towed your Mustang to the gas station?

Bummer on breakage...have you torn down the motor yet?

The dad of one of the guys in our group was driving track to track to spectate. We called him and he eventually found us. Lol seemed like forever waiting on him to get there. He towed me back to the store and we threw my slicks and bicycle in the back of his truck for safe keeping. Jonathan followed us there, then I jumped in with him for the rest of the week. Motor: I pulled the intake yesterday and found what I believe to be the #2 intake valve head sitting loose inside the #6 intake port. Crazy. If it is not raining in the morning I hope to pull the heads off and take a peek at the rest. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Lol

Sorry about your problems on the road- hopefully the damage is minimal but it doesn't sound that way right now.

Yours is the scenario that went thru my mind when I pulled the oil plug and found metal in my oil just before leaving to DW. The little devil on my shoulder was saying "Ignore it- run it!" while the little angel was saying "No, you will hurt it!". The angel won that battle.
Why think when you can be doing something fruitful?
