I don't have time to debate this . . . but DF & Finn have figured out a way to insure that I won't be participating in DW after 2014 . . . (which undoubtedly will make some folks very happy)

One more rule change we're announcing now for 2015: cars will not be allowed to carry decals or lettering outside of the Drag Week sponsors.

The hilarious thing about it is that HRM has essentially outlawed two of the road-killer's big name cars. . . .

I think the intent is to keep competitors from hawking competing brands. Like someone showing up with a car lettered up and sponsored by Nitrous Express when NOS is a sponsor. I think the gasser cars are safe.

Oh and Speedy, I think you over estimate your impact on their decisions. Clearly any "anti-speedy" rule would address the speed at which one was allowed to drive through the pits. (Don't take it personal, it is a joke).

I'd say that you're right . . . except that Adger (sp) tried to intimidate me about my lettering last year (he called it "crap" among other things)

And HRM was certainly aware of the "crap" . . . .

The interweb is such a wonderful thing. Prolly din't even make it past sunset. Kinda wishy washy, mandatory stickers and lettering for gassers up to 2014, then none for 2015. My vote would be to see a lot of masking tape covered decals and lettering in protest.
Speaking of protest, my hope for the Larson entry would be a full blown ProMod, like he threatened. Ideally Matusek's Mustang with street equipment.
