Looks like I will need to switch to "Plan B". Not enuff time to get my 31 Coupe done and tested. I know, that sounds really pathetic, but I have a long list of lame excuses. I'm thinking about running the 67 GTX or the 67 442 in either DD, BBNA or BBPA, or else my 48 Plymouth convert in Hot Rod. Leaning towards the 48 today. I need to make up my mind.

Here's a pic from 1980, I don't have any recent ones as the car has been in storage for a long time:
Anyway, I checked out the '48 last night and it will need too much work, so I'm going to try to get the GTX ready. All I have to do is get the heads freshened up, fix the hole in the oil pan from where the old motor put a rod threw it, get a different cam, put the motor together, get a street able radiator, get the clutch rebuilt, put the interior back in, wire up the lights, probably put some caltracs and slicks on it. Hopefully it should run somewhere in the low 11's to high tens, so I could run BBNA, or DD. Or get some nitrous, run BBPA and hopefully go low 10's.

I'm building a fan shroud. Last night driving around Tucson, it got kind of warm. Not overheating, but warm enough to motivate me to make a shroud. Today, it got all muddy...driving home in the pouring rain...there were several places where muddy water was running across the road several inches deep. Oh well.Last edited by squirrel; July 12, 2014, 09:54 PM.My fabulous web page
